Transit-oriented Development in the WILMAPCO Region
TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT or TOD is a mixed-use residential and commercial area designed to make public transit successful, walking and bicycling convenient and safe, and provide for a vibrant, livable community. A TOD is typically defined to include land uses within ¼ – ½ mile of a transit station or stop.
