Nonmotorized Transportation Working Group

The NMTWG advocates the creation and funding a safe, direct network of bicycle and pedestrian facilities through the region. State and local government representatives, bicycle, greenway and pedestrian organizations and advocates come together to coordinate their work through this group. The group reviews bicycle and pedestrian plans, programs and policies to advise WILMAPCO staff, committees, and Council. Meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. in February, April, June, August, October and December and are open to the public.

  • DelDOT Bicycle Pedestrian Funding Pool Projects—Paul Moser, DelDOT
    DelDOT will discuss their analysis of the FY 2022 Bicycle-Pedestrian Funding Pool project submissions.
  • Health Risks & Conditions Data Report–Bill Swiatek, WILMAPCO
    WILMAPCO will present a regional analysis of health risks and conditions and how they relate to transportation.
  • Draft FY 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program– Heather Dunigan, WILMAPCO
    Staff will present the draft FY 2023-2026 TIP, including bike/pedestrian projects and changes from the FY 2020-2023 TIP. The public comment period is expected to run from March 18 through April 29, 2022. The TIP may be reviewed at
  • OTHER BUSINESS – Opportunity for committee members to report on recent activities.
